I had steam coming out of my hood, no heat, knocking noises, squeaking, the engine was riding rough, and coolant was leaking, so I knew I had problems. I suspected a water pump failure, and decided to call around to a few shops for a quote. The Lexus dealer threw out the highest bid, and the other two shops were close but VAS was the best price. On top of that, they work with the Costco Auto program which saves 15% on parts and service. They use NAPA parts which are high quality and well priced... good value. Through NAPA they also give you a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty on their work which is the best I've ever gotten from any shop. I got the car back in a day and it was running smooth and quietly purring like a brand new engine. The temperature gauge was actually slightly under the halfway point which I had never seen before, perhaps the effects of a new water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt, and coolant flush. So far, I'm very pleased with the work and the value of VAS, and I'll likely return for future repairs. Chris and Terry were very helpful and nice. I read on their website that Terry is a deacon at his church so I hoped they'd be honest folks. Everyone's goal is to find an honest and competent mechanic, and I think I've found mine. Thanks, guys!
