We've used VA Automotive a few times in the past and felt great. This time we went in with our newer car, no problems or lights on, just for an inspection and oil change. We had a weird feeling already because when we first walked in, the guy at the front desk was rasing his voice and arguing with a woman carrying a small child. He was also rude with us, but we continued. We get a call quoting us for over $1000 in repairs that were out of the blue. The guy on the phone was very pushy, saying we needed to sign and approve everything immediately, even when we insisted on waiting until we got there to fully understand everything. After reading through other reviews, it seems like a common thing now with people getting pushy/rude service and a lot of extra services pushed on them. I'm very unhappy with this experience and would suggest people look elsewhere. Edit*** After going back, the manager was very kind and helped us out, we were charged only a reasonable amount.
