Why Do My Tires Look Like They Need Air, Often?   Your car’s tire pressure is very important and can be hazardous if not properly maintained. Did you know that your tires can actually lose air pressure over time and in different temperature conditions? Yes, the air molecules can actually leak through the rubber membranes, very, very slowly. Especially if your car sits without driving it over long periods of time or you have drastic changes in ambient temperature. Or you could have a slow leak from a small puncture, broken valve stem or your tire is not sealed on the rim very well. Also check to see if your tires are showing excessive or uneven wear. It could be an issue with the transmission, various sensors, emissions, ignition or other problems with other components that are important to your car running safely and efficiently the way it should. This light illuminates for a reason. It will not tell you what the problem is but will alert you that you should have a certified technician perform a diagnostic check to determine the source of the light and the malfunction that is causing the light to come on. Why Is My Car Overheating? Is that little red arrow in your “Temp” gauge moving up into the red area? Or are you seeing steam coming out from under the hood of your car?  If so, STOP and turn off your engine. Your car could be overheating. This could severely damage your engine! It’s always a good practice to check your engine fluids. The fluids tend to thin out or even evaporate in higher temperatures. Transmission fluid, power steering fluid, coolant and windshield wiper fluids should all be checked. Especially your coolant fluid. This keeps your car from running hot and overheating.
